When you are absent

EXCUSED ABSENCE:

Enter quietly.

Go to the homework notebook

Copy the homework

Retrieve any handouts

Sign the notebook

No make-up work for unexcused absences

MISSED TEST:

If you missed a test due to an excused absence, inform Mrs. Sheppard and arrange a time to take the test after school.

If you have an UNexcused absence, you will not be able to make up the work and will receive a zero for that assignment or grade.

IMPORTANT: It is up to the student to fix any UNexcused absences on his or her record.

Students need to check their absence record to make sure that all excused absences receive proper credit.

The office will automatically fix any absences.

A REMINDER: It is also up to each student to make up their work when absent and to contact another student to get the work assignment each day he or she is absent.

If the student chooses not to make up the work, he or she will eventually receive a zero for the work.

MAKING UP WITH EXTRA CREDIT:

Extra credit is not worth as much as a test, even counting all of it, unless special arrangements are made with the teacher.

It is always better to do the work and use the extra credit points towards upping your grade later.
